[0001] TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a locking ring. It applies, in particular, to a bayonet type locking ring of a circular electrical connector, which is found to be the most complex to produce.
[0002] STATE OF THE ART All of the bayonet locking rings are of monobloc type; that is, they are either molded or machined in one piece.
[0003] In both cases, the means to implement are complex and expensive, since it is necessary to realize the ramps of the locking system which are located inside the room, and are thus undercut. Figure 1 shows the case of a molded part 20 with ramps 21. The mold must be core "eclipsable" to unmold the ramps.
[0004] The complexity of the mold does not allow or difficult to mold an optimized part due to injection constraints, the reduced mass in certain places and constant thicknesses. Figures 2 and 3 show a brass machined locking ring. The ramps cut in the internal diameter of the ring, must be made using machining machines (combination of movement, so cams or numerical control), and tool holders (bevel gear). Zones 22 show the specific shapes to be made by the interior. These operations are complex and expensive and can create scrap.
[0005] OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The invention aims to remedy these drawbacks. To this end, the invention relates to a bayonet type locking ring, a circular electrical connector, characterized in that it comprises: a first piece in the form of a cylindrical ring extending from one end to another, said first part comprises notches distributed on the internal face of the first piece adjacent to one end and a first ramp portion on the inner face of the first piece, a second piece in the form of a cylindrical ring, said second piece comprises notches distributed on its outer face and a second ramp portion on the inner cylindrical surface and when the first piece and the second piece are assembled: 5 - the notches of the second piece fit into the notches of the first part blocking the rotational mobility of the second part with respect to the first part, and - the second part of the ramp of the second part forms the Completion of the first ramp part of the first part.
[0006] A ramp has a given width for moving and guiding a pin of the electrical connector for locking. The locking ring is made in two parts, the joint plane is between the two parts of the locking ramps. The functional forms of these two parts thus become easily realizable whatever the chosen embodiment, without tools or complex methods. The assembly is very simple and fast, so economic. Both pieces can be molded in very simple tools, since there is no undercut on the pieces. Thanks to these provisions, the means of realization employed are cheap. The molding tools are simpler, so it is possible to optimize the design of the parts (constant thickness, position of the injection points, etc ...). In one embodiment, the second piece engages in the first piece by clipping blocking the translation of the first piece relative to the second piece. In one embodiment, the second piece fits into the first piece to a stop adapted to align the end of the first piece to the end of the second piece.
[0007] In one embodiment, the first piece is made of thermoplastic material. In one embodiment, the first part comprises on its outer cylindrical surface a U-shaped, V or W-shaped groove portion adapted for gripping the first part by a hand. Thus, the locking ring allows a better grip of a hand for the 3036860 3 manual lock. This variant is more ergonomic (shape better adapted to the hand). The material of each piece is chosen and adapted as needed, for a reduced cost.
[0008] In one embodiment, the second piece is made of metal, molded Zamak type, or very high performance thermoplastic. The second piece is reduced to the bare minimum. The choice of material is related to the use of the connector. Thus to improve the life of the connector, the second piece is metal which improves its resistance to friction. To reduce its weight, the second piece is very high performance thermoplastic. Thus, the surface is protected and in this case, the second part avoids the risk of corrosion. [0009] DESCRIPTION OF EXAMPLES OF THE INVENTION FIGS. 1 to 3 have been previously described. Figure 4 shows the first part 23 and the second part 24 before assembly. The first piece 23 has notches distributed over the entire circumference of the inner surface. The second piece 24 has notches distributed over the entire circumference of the outer surface. The notches of the first piece 23 and the notches of the second piece 24 are complementary. FIG. 5 shows the assembly of the first piece 23 and the second piece 24. When these two pieces are assembled by translation in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the first piece 23, the second piece 24 is no longer mobile. in rotation relative to the first part 23. The notches allow to block this rotation. Figures 6 and 7 show the positioning of an electrical connector 25 in the locking ring. The first piece 23 and the second piece 24 are assembled beforehand prior to positioning the electrical connector. Figure 8 shows a sectional view of the first part 23 and the second part 24 before assembly. In this figure, the first ramp portion of the first member 23 and the second ramp portion of the second member 24 are visible. FIG. 9 shows a sectional view of the assembly of the first piece 23 and the second piece 24. There is shown a zone 26 which makes it possible to observe the complementarity of the second ramp portion with the first ramp portion. In this figure there is only visible a first ramp portion (sectional view), but in this embodiment the first part 23 has two first ramp parts and the second part has two second ramp parts.
[0010] Each boom portion is adapted to receive a lug of an electrical connector for guiding the lug towards the end of the ramp which locks the circular electrical connector. You have to make a push-and-turn motion. FIG. 10 is a sectional view of the assembly of the first piece 23 and the second piece 24, and shows the variant with clip 27. The assembly of the two pieces is made by clipping in the main axis of the part (axis of rotation), either manually or automatically. Clipping is the act of attaching with a clip. In this case, the outer face of the second piece 24 has a lug (clip) which blocks the second piece 24 relative to the first piece 23. As in the previous figure, the second part of the ramp completes the first part of the ramp. The part of the ramp which ensures the locking (second part 24), is the most stressed since it cash the efforts of connecting the contacts, and compression of the coupling joint. The second piece 24 is made of metal (molded Zamak), or very high performance thermoplastic. The part which ensures the unlocking (first piece 23), and which therefore supports less effort (friction of the contacts only) is made of molded thermoplastic material more ordinary and very cheap. The material is therefore selected according to the desired stresses and performance. In another embodiment, the color and the marking of the first piece 23 are different.

REVENDICATIONS1. Locking ring, bayonet type, a circular electrical connector, characterized in that it comprises: - a first piece (23) in the form of a cylindrical ring extending from one end to another, said first piece (23) comprises notches distributed on the inner face of the first piece (23) adjacent to one end and a first ramp portion on the inner face of the first piece (23), - a second piece (24) in the form of cylindrical ring, said second piece (24) comprises notches distributed on its outer face and a second ramp portion on the inner cylindrical surface and when the first piece (23) and the second piece are assembled: - the notches of the second piece (24) fit into the notches of the first part (23) blocking the rotational mobility of the second part (24) relative to the first part (23), and - the second part of the ramp of the second part (24) forms the complement of the first ramp portion of the first piece (23).
